FAQ

Koeur24 help: answers to your questions

This help page gathers the questions Koeur24 members ask most often: signing up, your profile, matches, messages, safety, subscriptions and your account. Each answer describes how the site works today. Can't find yours? The team replies through the contact page.

Signing up and creating your profile

Who can sign up for Koeur24?

Koeur24 is for adults only: age is checked at sign-up, and anyone under 18 cannot create an account.

The site is for singles across Belgium. It works in English, French and Dutch, and you can switch language at any time.

How do I create my account?

Sign up with your email address or with your Google account. When you sign up by email, you receive a confirmation link: the account becomes active once the address is confirmed.

Then complete your profile. Add photos, a short introduction, your interests and the kind of relationship you are looking for. A complete profile gives other members something to start a conversation with.

How many photos can I post?

A free account can post up to 3 photos; a subscription raises the limit to 6.

Every photo goes through moderation before it becomes visible. Choose recent photos where your face is clearly visible, without sunglasses or heavy filters.

Matches, likes and messages

How does a match happen?

You like a profile and that person likes yours too: it's a match. You are notified, and you can then chat in the messaging area.

To refine the profiles you are shown, set the age range and the distance in your discovery preferences.

Are likes limited?

With a free account, yes: you get a number of likes per day, and the counter resets the next day.

Subscriptions remove that limit and add other options, such as seeing who liked you or undoing your last choice.

Can I call a match without sharing my number?

Yes. From a conversation, you start an audio or video call directly in Koeur24, without exchanging phone numbers.

Video calls are included in the Gold subscription; a free account gets a few trial video calls.

Safety and verification

How do I get my profile verified?

From your profile page, send a selfie following the instructions on screen. A moderator reviews it; once the verification is accepted, a badge appears on your profile.

Verification is optional, but it shows other members that a real person is behind the profile.

How do I block or report a member?

The buttons to block and to report a member are on their profile and in your conversation with them. A blocked person can no longer contact you.

Every report is reviewed by the moderation team, which can suspend or delete the account concerned. Our safety guidelines list the warning signs to look out for.

Why am I asked for a code when I log in?

To protect your account, Koeur24 may send a 6-digit code to your email address when you log in. Enter it on the page that opens: it stays valid for 10 minutes.

Can't find it? Check your spam folder, request a new code, or get help through the contact page.

What does Koeur24 do with my data?

Your exchanges travel over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and your data is processed in line with the GDPR. It is never sold.

The privacy policy explains what is collected, why and for how long. If you disagree with how your data is handled, you can also turn to the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

Subscriptions and your account

Is Koeur24 free?

Signing up and most of the site are free: creating a profile, discovering members, liking profiles, matching and chatting.

The Plus, Gold and Platinum subscriptions add options such as unlimited likes, more photos, the list of people who viewed your profile, or invisible browsing.

How do I delete my account?

On the website, open your profile from the menu under your photo, then “Account information” → “Manage my account” → “Delete my account”. In the mobile app, go through the settings.

Deletion is permanent. To take a break instead, “Deactivate my account” hides your profile until you log in again.
